ICOE OEE 2026 Call for Abstracts
ICOE OEE 2026 is the place to showcase your recent technical developments, lessons learnt, achievements and important discussions. Joining the most important events in the sector, it is a unique opportunity to bring together industry, innovation and research.
Your abstract submissions must address at least one topic in one of the three thematic tracks, ‘Building confidence with data and experience‘, ‘Research, innovation and enabling technologies‘ and ‘A supportive ecosystem for ocean energy development‘. The work must be original and specifically prepared for ICOE OEE 2026. Each abstract will be assessed by two independent assessors, and depending on this assessment, active participation will be decided (in form of a conference session intervention or a poster presentation).

Abstract evaluation process
Abstracts will be reviewed by experts from the ICOE OEE 2026 International Advisory Committee, which gathers members of ocean energy industries, associations, academic bodies and public authorities worldwide. Final decision will be taken in the Executive Committee. Every effort will be made to accept quality abstracts that address the conference themes, but submission is expected to be competitive.
Selected abstracts will be invited to participate in the event at a special registration price as speakers or as poster authors. All accepted abstracts, presentations and posters will be archived as the proceedings of ICOE OEE 2026 by Ocean Energy Systems.
Poster Award
Young researchers (students, including PhD students, and post-docs in their first 5 years of research career) will be a part of a competition sponsored by Ocean Energy Systems. The winners of the “Best Poster” awards will be announced during the closing session of ICOE OEE 2026. The prize will consist of a diploma and a monetary prize of €2,000 for the winner and €1,000 for the runner-up. The diplomas will be delivered during the closing session and the prize transferred afterwards.
